An automotive recall is a proactive action taken by an automaker to address a safety-related defect or non-compliance with regulatory standards in their vehicles. Recalls are typically initiated by the manufacturer or mandated by regulatory authorities. When a recall is issued, the automaker notifies vehicle owners about the identified issue and offers a free repair or replacement of the affected component to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicle. Recalls generally apply to specific models, production years, or VIN ranges and are performed at authorized dealerships.
At Collingwood Fine Cars do not perform these recalls, we are not reimbursed by the manufacturer. Those recalls are required to be performed by the Manufacturers dealer for documentation, ministry compliance, and financial compensation for the employee performing the repair
